Kaeden has tested positive for Strep...Boo!
I am really trying not to bury myself into a bowl of ice cream right about now ;)

Back at it

Ok...I'm back & ready to jump back on this wagon...lost alot of points for not journaling (& many other things) last week....but i'm doing this for me...not the $ or prizes!

As soon as the bell rang on Friday October 8th @ 2:35...the kids literally had me spinning until this very second October 19th @ 7:48am......
THE SILENCE IS SO GOLDEN!
Needless to say...I put everyone before me & i can't help it!
It's in my nature as a woman, as a mother.....

I couldn't stand having things sacrificed (house, errands, sanity) during their week off in order to "implement" or check off my list of 10 things to do...

Fresh start today....FOR ME! :)

Day 12

This is what I woke up to this morning...after a frustrating day & post yesterday....
Just like I said...a little dose of "O" takes me a long ways!
October 8, 2010
"None of us is built to run nonstop.
That's why, when you don't give yourself the time and care you need, your body rebels
in the form of sickness and exhaustion.
Taking care of yourself so you can better care for others
is an idea many women I talk to still can't embrace.
But think of it in terms of the oxygen-mask theory:
If you don't put on your mask first, you won't be able to save anyone else."

Day 11

A "Random" Random Act of Kindness I did for one of my days was a little different than paying for the person @ Starbucks' Latte behind me...people are excited & happy to be @ the coffee shop.....so i thought I'd pay for the person behind me @ the dry cleaners....a not so fun or exciting place! ;)
Our schedule has NEVER been light or slow....right now it is packed to the brim!
I'm struggling taking care of our 6 schedules, the house, bills, pick ups, drop offs, eating healthy (for all), keeping the refrigerator clean & full, exercise, showering (putting make-up on or doing my hair), keeping up with the laundry, putting the laundry away, homework, 20 minutes of reading x 3, staying consistent in alot of areas that are important, religious education homework, keeping my new truck clean, keeping the garage presentable (since we are in & out of it 15x per day), volunteering @ schools, well child checks, etc. etc. etc.....

I told myself that these 10 things a day would not be a "to do" list to add to the one I already have, but that I would "implement" these into my everyday life & tweak & modify each day until all 10 things fell into place...Day 11 & it still is heavy on my brain instead of falling into the right place or time of day!  I know that putting me 1st & taking care of me is IMPORTANT, BUT IS IT REALLY REALISTIC...EVERYDAY for 8 weeks???
I'm cooked!

Day 10

God definitely had a hand in bringing Kathy & I together!
She has been such an INCREDIBLE role model of a woman, wife, mother & friend!
Kathy was truly placed in my life for a reason!
I look so forward to our 1x per month Continuum Session & her daily sweet voice on the phone!
I had such a great day with her today!!!
Filling up my spiritual cup EXTRA is such a blessing!

Day 9

I am really tired tonight!
I look so forward to Tuesdays now that I found an AMAZING Zumba class.  I think that hour of absolute full on dance is exhausting me by the end of the day!
I also look forward to Glee, No Ordinary Family & catching up on an Oprah episode....
A dose of Oprah a day is so good for my soul!
Goodnight!

I'm lucky to be here to CELEBRATE it!!!

Although, the temptations of Fall Flavors & goodies are coming on strong...I'm gonna start this Monday off right!  Celebrating today in a healthier way & continue staying FOCUSED!!!
